    I Got It!!!

Thursday, August 21, 2008, 05:12 PM AEST [General]

I got the book!!! or I should say 'booklet. Scanned and emailed to me within a week!

It was brilliant and contained more than I expected. Answered quite a few questions and posed many more. I never imagined I would see anything like this of my family, and written by one of my ancestors.

Thank you to whoever donated the book to the Archives in the first place and a big thank you to The National Archives of Ireland in Dublin, for going to the trouble of scanning and emailing it to me.

The genealogy world is full of wonderful people!

Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 11:08 PM PST [General]

    My beautiful sisters

Starting from the left is Mari the oldest, ME, Alexis and Mayra who are the same age as I am just one minute apart, yes Im a triplet (Gob bless my mom and older sister for putting up with us) and I am the last to be hitched

My sister Alexis had a beautiful wedding October of 2007 (I was the maid of honor) and the funny thing is guess who caught the Garter and Bouquet??????? Carlos and myself... I have to find the photos to post it, it was a funny moment. How weird is that though, now were entering into this contest not even a year later, it would be even more of a miracle if we win this wedding and get married. nudge.nudge.wink.wink. =)

And my sister Mari is planning her wedding for January 2009 that she actually won from a raffle at a bridal show she went to a few months ago. Congrats to her, now thats luck.

Well I hope its my turn soon.......somethings gotta give right ....lol!

    Trish & Lita

Thursday, August 21, 2008, 02:06 AM EST [General]

Now that I have your attention, I'd like everybody to take a look at a petition for 2 of the most influential divas to ever step foot in the WWE to get DVDs of their entire careers! You know you want one of the nice 3 disc compilations that WWE does so well for these two. Trish is a 7 record 7 time Women's Champion and was named Diva of the Decade in 2003. Lita revolutionized women's wrestling with her high-flying and very athletic moveset. Don't you want to see how all of that came to be? I think you do.

All you have to do is go to the "Trish & Lita Dvds" petition in the petitions forum and sign your name down. These legends of women's wrestling deserve to  have their story told!

Thank you to anyone who signs it and I also ask anyone who signs the petition to thank Fefe because she's the one who started this.

LOS CASTROS SE REFUGIAN EN CHILE.

Thursday, August 21, 2008, 01:54 AM EST [General]

Quitando La Mascara al Tirano Castro

    abr 7, 07:20

CHILE LA TIERRA ELEGIDA Por Juan Vives

You don't have to go far to find corruption in Nigeria

Thursday, August 21, 2008, 06:50 AM GMT [General]

A Nigerian group backing US senator Barack Obama for president has told the BBC the money it raised from a gala event was never meant for his campaign.

It is illegal for campaign groups outside the United States to donate funds to US political parties.

Earlier this week, the Obama campaign wrote to the Nigerian press saying it was not affiliated to Africans for Obama and would not accept its money. Tickets to the lavish event in Lagos on 11 August cost more than $21,000 (£11,000) for an eight-person table.

Africans for Obama chairwoman Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke, when asked replied.

"We never said we were going to donate money for the campaign."  Nor did she say that the surplus would be held in her back-pocket for future use

"We paid for the hall and the entertainers and the surplus we said would be spent on advertisements aimed at persuading Nigerians to tell their relatives in America to register to vote.

Local media had reported the event raised more than $840,000 (£420,000), that would pay for a hell of a lot of phone calls to the States

Mr Yar'Adua, the Nigerian President,  announced before going on a pilgrimage to Mecca. That he had sacked the Chief of the defence staff and the heads of the army and navy

Our correspondent said the sackings were a bold move in a country that has had more military governments than civilian ones in almost 50 years of independence.

I wonder if the President will still have a job when he returns?

    I NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Thursday, August 21, 2008, 01:46 AM EST [General]

Hello out there, my name is Edjuana Ross and I have blogged before with no response from you out there.  First off, any support will be greatly appreciated.  Now for 13 years I  suffered with the disease known as SLE or Systemic Lupus and those years put me so much closer to God and if I did not have faith I would not be here to get my cause up and coming.  Many of you may be wondering why I need your support.  Well I need your support in helping me get the word out about Lupus and its effects on ones mind, body, and soul.  Lupus has become so wide spread and the fact that no one is talking about this disease that I can not understand.  I am hoping to change that.  I want to scream it from the mountain tops that I fought this disease and I won. Yep, God is good.  Now, I know not to many people know what lupus is well I'll tell you that lupus is a autoimmune disease and it ain't pretty.  I endured so much with having this disease that it is mind blowing.  In 2003 my life changed, in a good way.  I under went a procedure called stem cell transplant and in an instant my life was changed for the better.  Being 5 years lupus free has never felt better.  I said all of this to let you be informed of why I need your support.  I need your support in getting the word out about lupus because it running rampart in our society.  I remember when I was diagnosed with lupus in 1990 I gathered information that stated that lupus attacks African-American and Latino women between the ages of 18-35 now, here in 2008 lupus is attacking any and everybody and color is not an issue and yet lupus is still not talked about like I believe it should be talked about.  It is attacking all of these different colors, woman and men and recently I received a phone call from a man who informed me that he has 15 year old daughter had just been diagnosed with this awfully disease and I would not have know what I would have done if I were in school.  As I have stated now lupus does not care about race or age and we need to arm our selves with education on not just lupus but any disease especially if we want to see our kids, nieces, or nephews grow up.  I was blessed and I believe that God answered my prayers and he took that disease out of my body.  I believe that now it is my duty to inform others about this disease and I am doing everything I can to help get a famous celebrity to help with getting the word out.  I have learned that if there is no celebrity contacted with ones cause you might as well give up unless you have a lot of fight in you like me and I will not just sit and do nothing and people need to be educated more about this disease that I have learned is right up there with breast cancer and yet lupus is still not talked about.  I may get frustrated some times but I am going to try to blog everyday about this disease because I would rather people be informed instead of trying to figure it out by themselves.  With that being said I have two websites dedicated to information on lupus as well as the book I wrote about my experience, trails, and tribulations thanks to this disease.  Those websites are www.freewebs.com/lupusallstarrs/ and www.freewebs.com/edjuanaross .  PLEASE DO HEAR ME WHEN I SAY THIS: BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE WEBSITE, SIGN THE GUEST BOOK JUST TO LET ME KNOW YOU WERE HERE.  i have also created a new website dedicated to some items that i created to promote education, as well as donate some of the profits to the lupus foundation as well as stem cell research.  The website is www.zazzle.com/lupusallstarrs*.  Some of the items that I created are ties, t-shirts (that you can personalize your self), keychains, hats and a number of other items.  So PLEASE support me in my cause so that our future children, niece, or nephew  will not have to go through anything that we went through.  Thank you for your time and be blessed and be a blessing to others.
